ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project was carried out under Pangea, Better Earth's technology branch. The Solar Point of Sale is a 0-1 project to streamline client education and sales agility throughout an extensive team of solar sales representatives that meet with clients door-to-door and manage clients and their projects using mostly mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. CHALLENGES

  • Navigated complex stakeholder dynamics, reporting directly to the CMO and COO, to align the project vision with business goals

  • Understand the main user's goals and painpoints and synthesize insights from stakeholder through interviews into actionable design strategies

  • Built the design operations framework from scratch to ensure a scalable, repeatable, and efficient design process.

  • Establish the visual identity and UI direction, ensuring a professional and intuitive design language suitable for mobile devices

  • Create a seamless sales flow tailored to the door-to-door sales model, addressing the unique challenges of mobile-first interactions in dynamic environments

  • Streamlined processes to minimize human errors during the transition from sales to installation, ensuring smoother project execution

MY ROLE

My role as the Principal Designer reporting directly to the CMO and COO was to understand the current processes within the company from end-to-end. From the sales to the actual solar instalation process in order to understand the main painpoints.
I've conducted several stakeholder and user interviews, and produced several insight documents to guide the design of the POS project. Also under my role responsibilities lied the stakeholder management of the project and the design ops structure from the ground up.
Part of the role was also get involved in the craft itself, defining the look & feel and UI direction and as well defininhg the in-person sale flow of the product.
